New Role - Academic Vice Principal in the Greater Bay Area

My strength is born and raised in HK. I have knowledge in both the HK curriculum and the international IB curriculum. I am a trained teacher coach with experience in staff training.

On 13 June 2023, I officially took up a new and exciting role as Academic Vice Principal at ASJ, a position that I have anticipated with both enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility. This transition marks a significant milestone in my career, as I have spent many years dedicated to the essential areas of student development and support, working diligently to create an environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential. In this new capacity, I look forward to embarking on a new path that not only allows me to leverage my strengths but also challenges me to grow further in my professional journey.

Responsibilities as Academic Vice Principal

In my role as Academic Vice Principal, I will be tasked with the crucial responsibility of overseeing and supporting the various academic programs offered at ASJ, including:

• The highly regarded Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE)

• The International Baccalaureate (IB) programs

Both of these programs are designed to provide students with a rigorous and comprehensive education that prepares them for the challenges of higher education and the demands of an increasingly competitive global landscape. My goal is to ensure that these programs not only meet educational standards but also foster an engaging and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Collaboration and Innovation

To achieve this, I plan to collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and the broader school community to implement innovative teaching strategies and curricular enhancements that can further enrich our academic offerings. By focusing on continuous improvement and embracing new educational methodologies, I aim to cultivate an atmosphere of academic excellence where students are encouraged to pursue their interests and passions while receiving the guidance and support they need to succeed.
